Chris Evans was recently chatting on his radio show about how he feels reed diffusers don’t work. I think we’ll need to send him an Olapip Home diffuser. What do you think? Which scent?
Reed diffusers are a great option for continuous scent in your home or workplace. Here’s a reminder of how to get the best from your Olapip diffuser…
How do they work?
We blend premium fragrance oils with an eco-friendly diffuser base. When the reeds are then inserted into the diffuser bottle they draw the liquid up the entire length of the reeds via their porous structure and disperse the scent into the air. They last until all the fragrance oil evaporates.
How long do they last?
Our reed diffusers can last up to around 3 months, sometimes longer, but it depends on positioning and the temperature of the room. If you place the diffuser in a very warm room it will evaporate more quickly. Equally a very cold room will admittedly extend the life of your diffuser but it wont scent as well – a little warmth helps the absorption process.
To refresh the scent of your reed diffuser flip the reeds over once a week, be careful not to drip any oil.
Where should I place my diffuser?
A top tip is to place the diffuser in an area where there is traffic as the motion of people moving past helps to carry the fragrance around the home, for example, on a console table in the hallway, on a side table near the living room door or the reception desk in your office.
Nose blind?
Over time you may get used to your diffuser scent and perhaps feel it’s not as strong. Be assured that guests coming into your home will absolutely smell it!
Mix it up a bit and move your diffuser to a different room to revamp the scent.
Refills
We offer diffuser refills to top up your reed diffuser bottle.
For maximum performance, many people prefer a new set of reeds with each refill however your original diffuser reeds should be fine for your first refill. After that they will start to clog with oil and dust so would definitely suggest a new set of reeds thereafter.
Coming soon – I’ve a few styles of reed diffuser bottles that can be used with our refills!
Hope you find these tips useful. If you have any questions, please ask away.
